Chocolate World

Going to Chocolate World was a lot of fun, there was an enormous parking lot and because of our size they parked us right outside the front door where the buses park, they saved us a very long walk to the building. There were quite a few things to do, we went on I guess it was a ride, we got on this moving bench that took us through a miniature factory, and it showed the whole process from growing the cocoa beans, processing and turning it into chocolate. When it got to the part in the ride that the chocolate was all made and in liquid form, all of a sudden you got a strong smell of chocolate in the air, it was yummy smelling! The ride was interesting and informative, it took about 20 minutes to complete, as you are walking out they hand you a couple of pieces of chocolate, they were handing out their new bliss chocolate, I didn't care for it much, it was to dark. Then ya walked into the huge area where they were selling all of the chocolates bars and candy that they make, we looked at some of the prices and they were ridiculously high, $1.50 for 1 little hershey bar that ya can get in the store for .75 cents and people were buying this stuff by the basket full, bags and bags of it, we couldn't understand why they were all buying this chocolate, it looked like a bunch of sharks during a feeding frenzy! They had every imaginable item with the name Hershey or the M&M's characters on it, from clothes, pillows, cups, etc. We just bought a few post cards, which were pricey also and nothing else, I hate complaining about the price of things but this place was super expensive, an example the post cards where .75 cents a piece. There were a couple of more things to do, they had a theater that had a film with all of theses hershey characters in a film dancing around, that didn't interest use besides it cost $6. Then there was this little area called, Factory Works Create Your Own, it was a little tiny factory area where you put your name on your own little tiny bag of hershey kisses and had got a chocolate chefs hat, it was pretty much geared to little kids. It cost like $13.99 or some ridiculous price like that and even with that high price tag it was just loaded with families with their kids, unbelievable. If ya double click on the picture of Gary standing next to the Factory Works sign, take a look at the little blue sign on the easel to the right of him, quick note on any picture in this blog if ya wanna see more detail or a bigger view just double click on it. Whats really unbelievable is they have created this whole town, and amusement park (next pictures) around a candy bar!?!
