We're back!!!!!!

Sorry I haven't done any blogging in quite awhile, due to being sick and a couple of quick trips to Portland I just haven't kept up. But we are back, Gary and I got really sick in March and it was some terrible stuff, I felt so bad for Gary being so sick and still having to get out of bed and drive 600+ miles and there was nothing I could do to help him out. We had a couple of quick trips to Portland, the first one my mom had emergency surgery they amputated part of her right foot, she is doing ok now. Then the second trip was because we were gonna get off the road and we were going to Portland to accept a apartment managers position. But Gary thought long and hard once we got there and decided he wasn't ready to come off the road yet, we might when our lease is up in July but not yet. So, I have been taking pictures where we go just haven't uploaded anything on the blog until now, below are some pictures I hope you will enjoy. Currently we have been in the eastern states, today we've been unloading and loading in New Jersey, we had to go to the US Port in Gloucester New Jersey and pick up a load of produce coming off of a ship, the plums didn't pass inspection so we are hauling 36,000 lbs of grapes to Kentucky. As much as I hate the inbreed state of Kentucky, we outta just feed them all dog food and they would be happy and wouldn't know the difference!

These pictures were taken at a rest area in the pan handle of northern Idaho, it's the Idaho Pan Handle National Forest.

Washington again

Here are some more beautiful pictures of
Washington along our trip head west on I90.

Bayou

We've been through the bayou several times east and west on I10. One of these times when we are down south I wanna find a restaurant that will boil a pot of craw dads and pour them out on the table to eat. We were down in Louisiana a couple of months ago and I finally had the best bowl of grits I've ever had.

I remember this skyline it is Chicago on a very rainy day.

City skyline

I took these pictures so long ago I don't remember what town this is? I just love to look at the high rise skylines and they are even more beautiful at night.

Washington

We were headed west to deliver in Tacoma area, this is I90, the mountains are beautiful. It was such a clear day we are pretty sure that we saw Mt Rainier and we saw St. Helens. Yes I am a mount St. Helens survivor, even down in Forest Grove Oregon the ash covered everything, several inches of the gray fine ash covered everything that morning. Carla, ya remember waking up that morning to the disbelief of what we saw outside?

Frozen River

We have seen so many frozen rivers and lakes this winter, I think this one was in Washington. On one frozen lake we actually saw a bunch of people with holes cut in the ice and they were ice fishing. Now we like to fish and I like to eat fish but I'm not crazy enough to go ice fishing.

William Tell

Gary and I keep fresh fruit in the truck, it makes for a great snack. Anyway, I was getten out some fruit to cut up and I put the fruit on Gary and he's doing a pretty good William Tell impression! (the yellow light is from Gary's cell phone charger)

Accessorizing

I guess some women can take accessorizing to the extreme! In these pictures a female Schneider driver is wearing the latest accessories for fueling, she has matched her truck and company colors with her attire!

Wyoming I80

Being our first winter out here, it has been pretty rough. These pictures were taken as we were headed east on I80 in Wyoming, now if any of you have traveled through Wyoming during the winter you how bad it can get, the winds blowing so hard it rocks your truck as your parked and trying to sleep, the first time this happened it kept waking us up all night but we are used to it now and it's nothing. Besides the really bad winds they have terrible snow storms and blowing snow that makes huge drifts on the roads. They close I80 across there quite often during the winter. This poor guy got blown over in the high winds, this is also a common site in Wyoming during the winter.

What a peach

Towns are now getting creative with their city water towers, instead of just the high school football team and players names they are doing other fun stuff. This town in North Carolina made theirs into a peach, we saw one the other day in Virginia it looked like a basket of apples. They're really cool to look at!

Here Piggy, Piggy

This one is not for those of you that are vegetarians or what ever. Many times in this last year we have had to go to slaughter houses to pick up fresh meat, most times it is beef but once it was pork. Ya drive up to the place and loaded trucks with the the animals drive in one side and bring in the animals, then ya got the buildings, then empty trucks like us drive up to the other end to pick up the butchered meat. You actually have to sit there and wait for the meat you're hauling to be slaughtered and cut up, the the live animals come in one end and come out the other end ready to be taken to the grocery stores. I know there are some of you that are not vegetarians or vegans and eat meat but ya don't wanna know where it comes from, sorry! Sometimes at these places ya wait quite awhile for your load, some times it is a couple of days.

My sis!

I wanted to introduce you to my sister Karen and her husband Don, below is their daughter Lily. Now, I know your saying to yourself you have never seen such a beautiful family before, they obviously take after the better side of our family the side I didn't come from. Now the sad part is there is a son in law, Lily is married to Vince, unfortunately his nick name is 'Cinderfella' and they are afraid his picture is well just to gruesome to be next to theirs, sad huh? We still all love him anyways!
