We had not run the refer on the trailer that we picked up in Alburquerque, so the first time Gary turned it on, we had to get it to a specific temperature cause we were headed to pick up a load of cheese in Modesto, CA. So road service directed us to our drop yard in Stockton, CA luckily that is also where Thermo King that repairs the refers is located at. Gary had to back the trailer into this really tight and angled spot, but like a pro he had no problems getting it done. They came out and looked at all the codes the refer was giving, some how they were able to clear them, kinda reboot it and get it going again. So we hooked back up and got to our pick up point on time. And let me tell you being on time for pick up and drop offs is very important to the DM's, I think their bonuses rely on us making our times.
We raised 4 boys, Bob 26, Steve 25, Andy 23, Jason 21, Bob is married to Lorly, they have 2 kids, Ken 13 and Kaylee 1 yr. Steve's girl friend named Keri, she has a 3 yr old boy named Joey, they are also expected their first child. Andy has a live in girl friend Crystal. Gary has always had a passion for driving semi's his whole life, we always talked about when the boys were grown and gone we would drive truck together cross country. Well that time has come. Gary attended school with CR England, did all his training, we were seperated 2 months before I could join him. We have been waiting for over 20 years for this, so once we realized it was time Gary quit his job as a pit boss, we went through 20+ years of stuff, got a 10x10 storage unit, a lot of stuff went to the DI, the dump and to our boys. My wonderful husband took me to Hawaii for 6 fabulous days and it was the trip of our life time! The day after we got back he had to report to school, leaving him behind was the hardest thing I think I have ever done. UPDATE, we have been out on the road now for 6 months, the newness has wore off, but this is still a great adventure and we are enjoying our time out here!
