Pennsylvania was a very pretty state to visit, it was cool and it rained quite often while we were there, with the break down and all and loads in and out was about 10 days we were in the area, we got as far as the New York border but didn't get in NY. Couple of observations, first EVERYONE is rude, they smoke every where, restaurants, while they are working, stores, truck stops, at the Freightliner dealer, the dude was smoking when he brought paper work to put in our truck. We stopped to have dinner at the Bandit truck stop in Harrisburg and this truck pulled in next to us and he rolled down his window and dumped his ashtray out the window! Now the second observation, they like using ville, town and burg behind the city names. Take an ordinary name or word, say 'friends', then you'd have either 'friendsville', 'friendstown', 'friendsburg', 'weirsville', 'weirstown', 'weirsburg', also they are not cities they are townships. Just imagine if Pittsburgh woulda been Pittsville?
We raised 4 boys, Bob 26, Steve 25, Andy 23, Jason 21, Bob is married to Lorly, they have 2 kids, Ken 13 and Kaylee 1 yr. Steve's girl friend named Keri, she has a 3 yr old boy named Joey, they are also expected their first child. Andy has a live in girl friend Crystal. Gary has always had a passion for driving semi's his whole life, we always talked about when the boys were grown and gone we would drive truck together cross country. Well that time has come. Gary attended school with CR England, did all his training, we were seperated 2 months before I could join him. We have been waiting for over 20 years for this, so once we realized it was time Gary quit his job as a pit boss, we went through 20+ years of stuff, got a 10x10 storage unit, a lot of stuff went to the DI, the dump and to our boys. My wonderful husband took me to Hawaii for 6 fabulous days and it was the trip of our life time! The day after we got back he had to report to school, leaving him behind was the hardest thing I think I have ever done. UPDATE, we have been out on the road now for 6 months, the newness has wore off, but this is still a great adventure and we are enjoying our time out here!
